Snobby Scientists - allow me to show you the error of your ways...

Ok, that's it! I've heard far too many words said by scientists against arts subjects, particularly with regard to Alevel. It's high time I put my case forward, and in the process, proving that both facets of intellectual endeavour are in fact of equal value to society. I can't bear the arrogance and, indeed, ignorance of some people. I don't want to say too much at this stage, but I certainly think the academic study of non-scientific subjects to be essential for us all, if not particularly enriching for the individual. In addition to some careful thinking, I'll also be reading Richard J. Evans' 'In Defence of History' in a search for ammunition against these conceited, intellectual snobs.

Anyway, be prepared all those who denounce the arts, expect a lengthy post, some time in the immediate future, that will prove exactly how wrong you are!

How unfortunate - your forthcoming rebuttal has confusingly failed to materialise. A lack of ammunition, perhaps?
