Just a few observations on the TV programme I watched last night.
'In the Dragons' Den' was interesting as usual. Ok, so it does get a bit repetitive - but last night's final pitch made it all worth watching. For those of you that don't know, the programme consists of would-be entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to seasoned business men and women (pictured above); who have the cash to get their business ideas off the ground. Ultimately, the contestants have to convince the Dragons to invest a pre agreed sum for investment (typically between £50,000 and £150,000 pounds), and it is normally in exchange for a percentage of equity in the pitcher's business. The fairly simple concept behind the show belies its absorbing nature. I love it when the imbeciles get slagged off (Peter Jones: 'That's no more advanced than the collar on my dog'), and when a deserving person gets that much needed investment (like last night). My only criticism would be the following: that you could tune in only for the last 20 minutes and practically see all the best bits. Nevertheless, I'm addicted.
