Looking over my blog entries, one thing has become really obvious: the weaknesses in my writing style. It makes me depressed, it really does, as I can see that I use the same structure many times over. Furthermore, it has made me realise that no one has ever taught me grammar - I simply rely on guesswork - and this is quite worrying. Consequently, I have vowed to read a book on punctuation and grammar over Christmas; hopefully this will help.
On the book front, I am currently enjoying 'Notes from a Small Island' by Bill Bryson. It's really informative, and contains Bryson's deliciously facetious style. In an attempt to ration it, I'm reading as slowly as possible. When I've finished, I'll let you know what I think.
Oh well, until next time... [which might be quite soon, considering how addictive this is]

Ironically, I got the same irritation again from rereading this post.
