Unexpected Weather

Hooray! I opened my curtains at 7.00 am this morning and was greeted by an amazing sight... outside everything was carpeted in a pleasingly uniform sheet of that substance that I wish for every year - snow! It was like Christmas come early, well - early January, and I instantly ran outside to embrace this surprisingly premature phenomenon.

It was freezing outside, but in placidly festive way, and later as I trekked to the bus stop, I felt both smug and grateful for my new coat (purchased only yesterday, thank God). However, as is my luck, the snow soon melted and I was baking in college all day due to the oven-like inside temperatures. All in all, I quite enjoyed the event, and hope it teaches all those who doubted meteorological science an important lesson. May I say on behalf of all weathermen: 'I told you so'.
