Well, I have to tell you: the Nano has won.
I reason that the iPod video's larger screen would only be used for selecting tracks - something the Nano is quite capable of doing. Ok, so it can play videos - but I would be made sick on the bus [the only place where I would have time to use the function] by looking at the rapidly oscillating postage stamp of a screen.
As for the storage dilemma: since I only have 2 GBs of music it seemed rather excessive to get something with the capacity for 15x's that. Admittedly, you could argue that the numerous videos I would download could easily account for the surplus space not to be taken up by my music collection. However, considering I already abandoned the idea of watching them, the point is irrelevant.
So, there you have my reasons - now I can't wait to get it.
[Update] It appears that when tired last night, I forgot to clarify which iPod Nano I will buy. I've decided to go for the 4GB black version.
